London Knights 50/50 Draw
On Monday, April 5, Investing in Children ran the 50/50 draw at the London Knights playoff game against the Kitchener Rangers. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped sell tickets, and thank you to the London Knights and the John Labatt Centre.
Funds raised from the 50/50 draw will support Investing in Children's neighbourhood programs in 2010-11.
2010 Book Sale a huge success!
Investing in Children's fourth annual Used Book Sale at Cherryhill Village Mall was a great success, with thousands of wonderful used books finding new homes and readers, and all the proceeds from the event supporting Investing in Children's Literacy projects in 2010.
Thank you to all our volunteers who helped collect, sort, price, transport and organize the books and to the following for their support of the Used Book Sale: Cherrylhill Village Mall, Ann Street Storage, G&A Book Exchange, PT Campbell Book Dealers, Metro Westmount, Metro Cherryhill, and Value Mart (Oxford & Richmond) and London City Chrysler.
In the Zone welcomes Dan Pelletier
On March 10, Dan Pelletier visited with the In the Zone afterschool program to share his experiences and First Nations culture with the students, including stories and artifacts.
