EYLearningZone Workbooks and Workshops

Are you getting the most from your data? Are you having trouble keeping your partnerships working smoothly? Wouldn’t it be great if there were helpful tools written exactly for your situation?

Guess what? There are!

The Early Years Challenge Fund project Working on the Edge: Balancing Risk, Change and the Comfort Zone has moved into its second phase. Following the successful launch of www.eylearningzone.ca, Investing in Children has begun to produce a series of workshops and workbooks covering a number of themes that can help Ontario Early Years Centres and other early years professionals deliver exemplary services. While these are directed towards Early Years organizations, the topics are equally important to other non-profit organizations, and these workshops and workbooks can be of great value to those involved across all sectors.

Each of these workbooks and workshops is developed in-house at Investing in Children, drawing on the knowledge and experience of our staff and partners. The content and ideas in each book are derived from real “hands-on” experience, an integration of theory and practice and a range of lessons-learned.

The first three titles are now available, with additional titles in development:

Building Collaborative Partnerships: Achieveing sustainability by broadening your financial support base. The art and skill of engaging all sectors of the community.

Success means more than balanced books: Using the Balanced Scorecard as a Management Tool that will guarantee success! Financial health is only one piece of the puzzle. Learn about other key success factors.

Let your stats lead the way: Learn how to turn all those numbers into a dynamic information tool. Looking at current statistics is only a starting point. Use what you know to predict trends, identify gaps and plan for the future.

A workshop is also available on each topic, complementing and expanding on the information presented in the workbook. The same experienced staff that put together the workbooks are available to facilitate workshops focused on your needs and unique situations.

In the next six months, more titles will become available, covering topics such as systems thinking, evaluation, mapping and communications. For more information about the workbooks and workshops, including ordering/booking information, please visit www.eylearningzone.ca. If you would like to order, please contact info@investinginchildren.on.ca. We also appreciate your feedback and suggestions.
